Slavery and Human Trafficking Transparency Statement

About Renaissance Hospitality Group
Renaissance Hospitality Group is a Canadian-based hospitality and catering collective committed to excellence in service and integrity in operations. As the parent company of multiple catering brands—including those specializing in BBQ, office, wedding, and school catering, as well as food delivery and full-scale event management—Renaissance serves a wide range of clients across both public and private sectors.

Our operations span multiple provinces, and our services include large-scale event planning, corporate catering, on-site food preparation, logistics management, and delivery coordination. Our mission is to bring people together through memorable experiences, rooted in hospitality, quality, and trust.

Our Commitment
Renaissance Hospitality Group is firmly committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in every aspect of our business and supply chain. We operate with a strict ethical code and place human rights at the core of our service philosophy.

We are committed to acting with transparency, fairness, and responsibility, ensuring that our operations are free from all forms of forced labour, exploitation, and trafficking.

Our Supply Chains and Partner Accountability
While the majority of our suppliers are local vendors, farms, and service contractors, we understand that the food and events industry can be vulnerable to unethical labour practices. Therefore, Renaissance enforces rigorous supplier standards, including:

  • Conducting due diligence on new suppliers and catering partners
  • Requiring all vendors to comply with applicable labour and human rights legislation
  • Including ethical compliance clauses in our contracts where relevant
  • Periodically reviewing our supply chains to assess risk and strengthen oversight
  • Prioritizing long-term relationships with trusted vendors who align with our values

Recruitment and Employment Practices
Renaissance Hospitality Group upholds fair hiring practices. All employees and contractors must provide legal documentation demonstrating their right to work. Our recruitment is guided by equal opportunity principles, local employment law, and a deep respect for human dignity.

We do not tolerate discrimination, coercion, or exploitation of any kind.

Training and Awareness
We train our employees and management on issues relating to workplace ethics, legal compliance, and identifying signs of modern slavery or exploitative practices. Team members are encouraged to report concerns confidentially, and Renaissance enforces a strict anti-retaliation policy to protect whistleblowers.

Ongoing Improvements
We are committed to continuously improving our systems, policies, and supplier engagement to prevent modern slavery and ensure transparency throughout our operations. Future steps may include:

  • Implementing stronger monitoring tools and audits
  • Strengthening vendor onboarding with expanded ethical assessments
  • Expanding training programs to cover additional human rights topics

This statement is made on behalf of Renaissance Hospitality Group in support of transparency and ethical accountability and is aligned with our core values of integrity, hospitality, and community stewardship.
